Patch20 June 2026
Variety Comes to the Quests
By The Order of the Unseen Way
The quest-giver has learned some new words. This patch widens the kinds of wonders the Order may send you after.
New in this patch
- Composed quests — a quest is now a subject paired with a quality: a red door, a wooden bench, a tree by water. Far more variety, far less repetition.
- Colour hunts & scavenger checklists — gather several sights in one charge, like photograph three different red things. One quest, several finds.
- Fairer difficulty & rewards — a quest’s difficulty (and the XP it pays) is now derived by the Order from the task itself, never inflated. Trivial tasks no longer masquerade as great deeds.
- No more doubles — you’ll no longer be sent after the same subject twice at once.
Beneath the surface
We also taught the Order to keep its own vocabulary honest: every new quality is watched against how it fares in the field, and any that prove too easy or too ambiguous are quietly retired. The contest on the Ledger stays fair.
More variety is already on the road — keep an eye on the Tidings.
Walk well, pathfinder.
